Privacy policy

The short version

TipsterKit is a small, solo-built tool. We collect the minimum amount of data needed to run it. No tracking cookies, no fingerprinting, no third-party advertising trackers, no selling your data to anyone.

Who runs TipsterKit

What we collect

• Email address, if you join the waitlist. Stored with our email provider (Resend) so we can send you launch updates and a welcome message.
• Anonymous usage statistics via Vercel Web Analytics. This is cookieless and does not track you across sites. It tells us page views, top pages, referrers, and country-level location. It does not identify you.
• IP address, briefly, to enforce per-IP rate limits on the free generator. IPs are held in memory for up to a minute and are not written to a database.
• Server logs, generated automatically by our hosting provider (Vercel). These contain request paths and error traces, are kept short-term, and are not used to track individuals.

What we do not collect

• No tracking cookies. The site sets one functional cookie only (your light/dark theme choice, stored in localStorage).
• No third-party advertising or social media trackers.
• No browser fingerprinting.
• No data brokers, no data sales, no marketing partners.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of subprocessors to run the service. They act as data processors under our instructions and do not sell your data.

• Vercel (hosting and analytics). Vercel privacy policy.

Your rights under UK and EU data protection law

You can:

• Ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Ask us to delete your data.
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by contacting us.
• Lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

To exercise any of these rights, email tipsterkit@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Data retention

• Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Analytics data is retained per Vercel's default policy.
• Server logs are retained for a short rolling window.
• IP addresses used for rate limiting are not persisted.

Children

TipsterKit is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated via email to waitlist members.
